Exclamation Can An O2 Sensor Cause Idle Problems

My O2 sensor wire broke in half during the motor transplant I did earlier this summer and I havent got time or the tool or money to change it. And I was wondering if the O2 sensor could cause Idle problems if it isnt connected. Thanks for the help if you help me.

Not at all. The ECU totally ignores the O2 sensor at idle. Mainly because it has cooled off too much to provide a reading.
