can my 7 be saved???

I crashed into a lamp post earlier this evening and I am pissed off at how stupid I was to do so but now im just wondering if my 7 can be saved and repaired? I know this is a hard decision but I want to keep the car but from the looks of it, buying a new car would be cheaper so it would be nice if u guys can give me suggestions on what I should do and if anyway help me I would really appreciate it. Any comments, suggestions and questions please let me know. Please I could use any help right now. Thank you.

gut it and junk it. that looks terrible and you should be able to find a cheap one that is in a higher trim than that 4 lug

If there is no frame damage you can probably do it yourself, I have a parts car coming my way and if you want to save the life of the car i'd give you anything you want for $50 just have to pay the shipping, i hate seeing cars die.

If there's no frame damage, you still have a chance. It will take time and money, but most of the parts that looks damaged from the photo's can be found through the for sale section of this forum.

If the frame is damaged at all, I would just part the car and use the profits towards another car.

Sorry to hear about your car dude. Just be glad that you made it out in one piece. But look on the bright side, it was a base model. Now you have an excuse to get a better model.

haha, that just happened to my car, not as bad. but ya its totalled. im checking for frame damage this weekend.

but ya, its just a base model. thats what i have/had. but 4 lugs isnt a problem im gonna sell my engine and fix everything wrong with the car, and put a tII s5 motor in it. but its all up to you what you want to do.

if not, just make it so it runs and you have yourself a rally car for the dessert. hit things, have fun with it.

It's repairable but unless you have big emotional attachment I wouldn't. It won't be cost effective, you can get a new one for less than it would cost to repair it. Plus if the motor and such is good I am sure you can recover some money parting it out.

no frame damage, an easy fix "just replace the broken stuff", or gut it out and find a good frame arround

HAHAHAHA i've said and been told that one before.

you can fix it, but it is probably more cost effective to buy another FC. they are becoming fairly cheap unless you want a nice vert or TII.

who knows, you might find a ton of cheap parts and be able to fix it for a few hundred $s. i would have gladly sent you some stuff if i still had my S4.

just take everything out of the engine bay and pull the fenders, etc. Then pull the engine and tow the car to a local weld shop and have them cut off the bent rails and weld new rails in. Then get a headlight, fender, etc from the junkyard and you will be back in business.
BUT!
Do you want to save a 4 lug model? Is there any other rust on the chassis? If there is then junk it and keep all the non damaged parts(everything!) for parts and buy a new chassis and you should be good to go.

ps I hope you weren't trying to drift, save that for big parking lots on rainy/snowy days.

Any thing can be fixed, but by the looks of that, you will be better off buying another one, and that would probably be less money then repairing yours, unless you know someone who does body work and some real body repair tools, may look for just a shell if you motor an stuff is good, should be able to get a real good deal on just s shell

I'll give you the parts for free if you keep the car, i don't need them and will probably be junked otherwise.

Looks like severe frame damage to me... unless you know of someone who happens to be a genius at body work, and can straighten out a damaged radiator mount, bumper supports, and front left frame (I don't know if that's really reasible).

They'd probably need to cut off all the bent stuff (once steel bends it loses it's rigidity, even if you bend it back into place), and weld on new metal.

Either that, or make it a half tube-frame car... hahahah

Is your car wrecked? I usually don't just give stuff away to people that ask, i usually give it away when people need it.

well really all i need is a new passenger side mirror because mine was broken off by a jerk off hit and run (i guess thats what happens when you park on the street) and i know what your thinking "wait you parked on the street but your passenger mirror is broken off" well the explenation is it was an "a hole" biker

but i could also use a turbo

To everyone telling him this is fixable... It's really not, without some serious $$, many times what the car is worth.

If you've ever attempted to pull the front fender brackets out, they don't re-form. You'd have to cut the structural front end off of another car forward of the strut towers just behind the headlights. Even if you got it close the front end of the car will never line up again. Save your money and just buy another Rx7 with a hard lesson learned.
