Yea I guess I was exaggerting a bit for 8-9 car lengths, maybe about 4 or 5, but I was just trying to stress that he was no where near me. The SOHC KA's(89-90) put out 140hp. The DOHC KA (91-98) put out 155hp.

 

GUYS!!! Dood your 7s are lame if you cant take out a regular GT. And others who havent raced one are totally underestimating your 7. Yes you can beat a 140hp one.

I raced a 2002GTS Celica with Intake. was around 210 hp and I took it out by a few car lengths in the 1/4 mile before I was modded. He was only 1 car back until third then I just took off. Anything under 200hp no modded N/A should be afraid of.

SPSTR7... Low end torque? I have more low end torque then stock. Are you taking off normally like you would from a stop light??? Because your sopose to dump the clutch at really high rpms when your racing wich puts you at 6k pluss and when shifting as well so torque should not be aparent.

 

Well, it was at a traffic light and didn't wanna rev my car too high because I didn't want to get too much attention specially from the cops But I'll check my car again and see what I can do. I'll also play mith my S-AFC settings and that might help too.

 

2 car lengths behind, were you having a hard time getting into 3rd gear? Sometimes I grind and syncros are a bit worn out so that might be slowing us down. The non-working six ports will not cause hesitation @ 4, possibly a bad ground at the ecu.
