can MAF go?

This is prolly a really dumb question and im not saying im gonna do this but ive just always been curious, does the maf have to be there or is it possible to take it out and the car would be fine?

Nope, it has to be there. If you want to remove it you would have to upgrade the ECU to a stand alone system. This is quite expensive and also you will need a good tuner. There is a way to use a better flowing MAF from a 5.0liter Mustang, you just have to "hot wire" it to the ECU, the idle will be terrible tho.

i have no maf, but i've got microtech, lol.
