can i use GSLSE injectors in my S5 TII?

hey guys i am planning on buying some GSLSE 680cc secondaries for my S5 TII. i have the stock ECU with an safc to control the extra fuel. i am maxing out my stock 550cc injectors at 12 lbs or so with my SAFC maxed out (watching the wideband while boosting) so i'm wondering if i can just run the gslse 680cc injectors.

the GSLSE injectors seem to be the only 680's i can find, and i dont think i need 720s cause thats a little too much injector for my setup... what do you all think?

what about the stock FD 850cc secondaries? will those work? i'm assuming they're high impedence, but maybe they're side feed... anyone?

The plugs are different.
The impedences are different.

Now what if you were to change the plugs and run resistors inline?

That solves the incompatibility problem.

Well, your car should have high impedance injectors, and the GSL-SE should be low. So you need to wire in a 10 watt 10 ohm resistor inline with each injector.

People do, but there are different types of GSL-SE injectors.

When I put them in my car, I had to locate the ones with the red/pink tops.

They work without any problems.

What's the injector duty cycle at this point?

It's hardly a big difference. That's what the S-AFC is for.
what about the stock FD 850cc secondaries? will those work?
Side feed = no way, no how.

Thank you for resurrecting a thread almost 2.5 years old!

If you have a very early build S4, they drop right in.
If you don't, you need to either file off the "key" on the fuel injector plug or swap out the plug on the engine wiring harness side, cause the key is offset for your late 1987 or 1988 FC turbo - remember to also install resistors in-line to make the circuit impedence more friendly to the stock ECU.
