Can I use an 88 AFM with a 91 J-spec engine?

I have an 88 10th Anniversary and will be putting in a 91 J-spec next week. The problem is the new engine didn't come with an airflow meter. Can I use the AFM off my 88?

Since you can use an 89+ AFM on an 87-88 TII I would assume you could, but it is worth it to buy the higher year one. Also, the 89+ motor needs the 89+ ECU if you don't already have it.

Crap...I don't have an 89+ ECU, I have an MD Racing ECU in my 88. Well, I guess I'll find out if it works or not when the install is done.

Use your 88 injectors and stuff on the 89 engine.

AFM, injectors, throttle body, TPS, front cover with mechanical oil metering pump. Possibly the vacuum rack, I don't know if there are any differences between them, I throw them away

The AFM’s are specific to the ECU, not the engine. As long as you use the 88 AFM and ECU, it’ll be fine on the 91 motor.
