Can I turn my boost guage into boost controller?

So, I have a greddy boost guage with the ability to give 12v output whatever boost I set it at. What if I had a normally open air solenid valve between the turbo boost reference tube and the wastegate actuator (so wastegate operates as normal when "system" isn't armed) which was wired to a normally open contact on relay 1 w/ 12v controlled by an arming switch on the other side and relay 1 coil wired to normally closed contact on relay 2 (other side also wired to the 12v arming switch) which has a coil energized by the 12v from the boost guage output. With the system armed the wastegate actuator would get no boost(and so stay completely closed) until the boost guage reached the set boost it provides 12v output -then pop the wastegate opens. Primitive; but will it work? Any recomendations for the air control solenoid?

if you are talking about the aux warning wire it grounds when it hits the boost, not gives +12. it could work with the right relays and valves. biggest downside would be that the warning light would allways be on at full boost, defeating the purpose of it.

but good idea, just have to try and find the right valve.
