Can I test my warning light cluster with the engine out of the car?
Hi everyone, This might be a stupid question but I want to make sure this is ok. I’m rebuilding the engine in my FC so there is currently no engine in the car, but the wiring harness is still there and routed. I resoldered all the joints in my warning light cluster and wanted to test it to see if the lights came on with the key in the on position. Would I mess anything up by throwing the battery in and turning the key to the on position?

It's safe to test it without the engine installed.
The only thing you'll find irritating is that the loud "low coolant" buzzer will go off all the time since the rad is drained. You can ground the connector from the top of the rad temporarily to avoid this.
