Can I street port my own engine?

I have a dremel, and I am pretty good with it. What all does entail? Is this something I can do in my garage? And is this in the archive?

I've seen people use dremels, but I don't suggest it. Some kind of die grinder is much easier, with larger bits...

Yes you can do it in your garage. It entails searching and reading up on the subject, and checking out "porting templates" that many companies and/or people provide.

most would suggest you practice a few times on trashed housings (which can usually be had for free plus shipping). you can get the hang of it before messing up a perfectly good set of housings.

i would brush up on how to rebuild a rotary engine first...

because that is first and foremost what it takes to port an engine.

Yeah I know, There is a guy in my area one us from the, kansas city RX7 club, who has friggin lost count of how many rotaries hes re-built, so I have help there, but I want to do most of it my self. Is there a write up in the archives that I missed? Or can someone write it up here? Or is it just as simple as knowing where to grind?
