Can I remove the lines on the firewall?

Can I remove the lines on the firewall?

I'm not sure what i can remove. I want to make the engine bay look clean but i dont know what i can remove and what I can't. Can someone help me?

Try getting it steam cleaned or spray some simple green on it, have at it with some brushes, and then pressure wash it (after you bag important electrical stuff and etc). As for those hard lines, one is for the brake booster (don't remove that) and the other goes to a charcoal cannistor for emissions related reasons. Since you live in California I would no bother unless this is a track only car.

P.s. Removing the p/s and a/c pumps and bracket really cleans up the engine bay. So does relocating the battery to one of the bins. Removing the fan and shroud and getting an E-fan would spruce it up a bit, but there's conflicting arguments about whether the OEM fan or a E-fan is better. Both have pro's and con's and i'd search a bit before making a decision on that.
