electrical failure?

i have a slight problem...

my car has been running great, i decide to make a road trip back home to New Orleans and as soon as i get here, the car just literally dies.

only thing that works are my lights, cluster lights and hazards. other than that, its not doing anything. when i turn the key, it doesnt make ANY noise. battery is good, all terminals are good and all connections are good. starter and alternator are less than 3 or 4 months old. one thing though, as i was trying to start it, my foot accidentally hit my fuse box, when i did that, everything started beeping and lit up for a second and then dies again.

i checked all my main fuses and the ones inside the car, all still good, is there a main ground for the fuse box inside the car? or could this maybe be a problem with my wiring harness or ECU?? by the way, if it makes a difference, its an 88 N/A GTU

im lost here, any help would be awesome, if there is anyone on here on the northshore near N.O. feel free to PM me for my number! thanks

Sounds like maybe you knocked a plug out or something when you hit the fuse box. Maybe check all the plugs in the area and make sure they are all firmly plugged in.
