Question Can I go w/o the engine fuse or EGI Fuse? (No i'm not newb)

I've got a project car that im currently building. Its a half bridge s5 turbo motor w/ a turbonetics t62-1, Microtech LT8-s, supporting mods, etc. My question is if i eliminate the engine and egi fuse, what do i need to compensate for? I've already got the car running without the fuses but maybe im missing something im not aware of. The reason i'm eliminating the fuses are because the previous owner has done such a hack job of the driverside harness, its hard to pinpoint whats making the fuse blow so i figured i'd just eliminate it since i have no use for it. Also, is the idiot cluster wire coming off of the alternator necessary? How does the alternator regulate voltage? Thanks in advance electrical gurus!

the fuse is popping for a reason, you get rid of it and you create a safety hazard.

100% agreed. You'd better find the cause or it may FORCE you to, and that could suck to an infinitely unknown degree.
