can I fill the trans from the shifter hole?

i think you still have to fill it at the plug too, when i was filling the GXL's transmission it would only hold so much in the shifter (or maybe it just drains really slowly). btw, turbo transmissions i'm pretty sure have two fill plugs and two drain plugs.

you do need to fill the linkage through the shift hole. This chamber is separate from the gears. you will need to fill the trany thru the fill plug.
the linkage is full when the oil level is just above the square block that the shifter snaps into.
hope this helps

yeah we still havnt gotten a straight answer... if I undersatnd NZconvertible correctly hes saying you dont need to fill the linkage seperately, thus implying that they are interconnected, which means if you put oil into the shifter linkage hole, itll go into the trans!
