Arrow Can i check injector resistance at the ecu?

Ok well i just got a 88TII i havnt seen the motor run in this chassis yet...but i do kno that someone before me put radioshack inline resistor in the harness because the injectors are low impedance...my question is, im not to sure on there wiring job because its all just taped up under the uim, so can i check the injector resistance at the ecu somehow so i know forsure that the resistors are secure on the harness and that there all within the ohm range that there supposed to be??? i wanna check this so ill kno if i need to yank the uim off and redo the resistor soldering etc....

thanx

you will not get an accurate resistance reading ecu side with a resistor inline because the job of a resistor is to add resistance... the guy who had the car before you probably bought injectors of the wrong impedance and did the ghetto thing to make it work with the ecu and wired the resistors in. if it works with the resistors in i would recomend against removing them.

why not? the ECU is the thing that needs to see the correct resistance.

to find the pins the FSM is the best way.

The wire colors are LG, LG/W, LG/B, LG/R and they'll be on the small plug.
