can hear oil burning inside the turbo...

Title says it...why would it do this? I let it idle (kinda) for about 30 seconds before shutting down, heard it so I fired her back up and let it idle another 30 seconds to try and get fresh oil through her and it was still there. I've never heard it do this and I wasn't boosting it before parking...hell, I never moved...I was just sitting there kinda revving on the engine to do a water treatment and check vacuum (under 10in/hg at idle...****).

Why would it do this?

Maybe it's the turbo's water cooling jacket?

do u mean u hear a gurgling sound?? never heard of "hearing" oil burn.... gurgling could mean you have an air pocket in your coolent system somewhere... as i heard a gurgling when id shut my car down when it was running kind of warm... because of a small leak in a coolent line running to the intake manifold....

oh no...the one thing that's 100% sound on this car is the cooling system. My brand new focus didn't work this well.

Ever hear a deepfryer or really hot grease right before you throw the chicken in? That's what it sounded like, but inside the turbo housing.
