Can anyone tell me what this is for?

Its right next to the air filter box. the marks next to the screw says L <->H ??? What is the correct way to adjust it???

Hmm..

Looks like the idle variable resistor to me. Adjusts how rich /lean the car runs at idle, don't mess with it, you really don't need to.

OK I was just trying to find out what it was I didnt crank on it. It had a vacuum line going down below it that had a hole in it and I replaced it.

It should be "L" and "R" - lean and rich.
It only adjusts fuel at idle ONLY.
