I would go to your local NAPA and get the rotors from there. If I remember they are about $15 a rotor. Pads depend on what type of driving you do, but I would recommend Hawk pads.

Man, last time I got a rotor, it was from Advanced and it was like $60. I said "Excuse me?!?!?!" It was a REAR one too.

that's why you shop around. but I am surprised, because of all the parts I've bought, advance is usually cheapest, then Oreilly's, and often NAPA highest.

Hawk HPS are what a lot of guys run. I chose to go with AXXIS ceramic/kevlar. Good stopping from the AXXIS. I have yet to try the Hawk's, but I've heard good things about those, too.

When I replaced my rotors a few months ago NAPA had the cheapest price on the fronts- $23 apiece- but everybody had absurd prices on the rears.
Best I found was SpooledupRacing here on the forum (great service, highly recommended).

Since I was also upgrading to front 4-piston calipers I checked into the larger Turbo master cylinder and found the same thing...a giant disparity in prices.
Found a brand new NA m/c (which included the reservoir but not the sending unit) at IPW here in Denver for $75 but they asked $250 (same as Mazda) for the Turbo version. Very weird pricing on this stuff.

I just did all four corners on my 88 t2. I went through a local independent parts supplier. Of course the stuff is special order but still got it the next day.
Front rotors- Wagner $48.76 for both
Front Pads- Wagner Thermoquiet $26.18
Rear rotors- Brembo $94.00 for both
Rear pads- Wagner Organic $47.00

total cost 229.00

I did the same job on my 86 GXL through the same supplier in Dec. 2004 for only ten or so dollars less.

Do keep in mind that cross drilled rotors will develop cracks around the drilled holes.
I believe even Mazdatrix even says this on their website.
