I have the AGX's as well, I had bought the Tein S. Techs but realized they were for an N/A and rubbed the tire a bit when on the jack stands, i didn't even lower it off the jack stand sdue to fear of binding or breaking something.



I sold those and got these Tanabe GF210's but they appear to be about the same diameter.



When I found out that The Tein S. Techs are only sold for N/A's, I wasn't horribly shocked to see a fitment issue with my TII, but these Tanabe's are sold for the TII's and they don't seem much skinnier at the bottom. Are you guys running into fitment problems with these springs?

 

there is no difference between TII and NA other than different stock wheel/tire size.
i'm running wheels the same size as the stock TII ones, 16x7, but with wider tires and the GF210 is fine for me. there is some rubber marks on the spring but it's very minor, i have no problems at all. the spring is not touching the tire when the car is not moving, i suspect it may touch sometimes while turning/going over bumps...

 

I was told that the TII is heavier and requires a stiffer suspension that the N/A's. Your saying that springs sold for the N/A should fit the TII no problem?

What are everyone else experiences with Tana bes on a TII? Any tire rubbing with stock wheels/tires? maybe just some spacers needed to clear?

are you running the stock tire width on TII wheels?
if you are running wider than stock you will need a small spacer, yes.

 

honestly i don't know right now, I'll check tomorrow to see what width they are.

i have the front and rear on full stiff with 450 lb. ft. spring in front 350 in the rear. and i daily drive them and they are to soft.

 

You must be running something like balloon tires or drive on absolutely flawless roads.That or you have no kidney's.

 

He must have one of the air-ride seats like bus drivers...
Seriously, though, that setup might be too stiff for a track, but definitely not for street driving.

 

well i have the stock sized 15" tires so there is some cushion righ there. other than that the reason i do have stiff springs is for drifting.... and yes i still have kidneys and a bride zeta II seat. Right now stock leather s5 seat though. The roads around where i live are decent, just watch out for large bumps and holes.

 

well after a few autocross sessions and a whole bunch of street driving, a roadtrip or two, i have found my settings, with the Tanabe springs:

street: 3/4 front, 7/8 rear
track: full stiff

that is what i like best...

 

2 front, 5 back, with crappy ebay coilover kit.6k rear spring, 8 or 10k front (cant remember). this setup seems to do damn good for the alignment being off somewhat
