Ok while im thinking about it ive got a question for you vert guys about Stinky. Ive got an entenna stub in the rear like all of them but ive also got 2 lines that run down the center of the windshield which i was told was the radio entenna. Ive never seen the rear entenna work and it looks like a dummy but i havent messed with it to see but is that my entenna or is it the 2 lines in the windshield? I was told this is something that only verts have so thats why i ask in this thread. Thanks guys, i like the pics everyones posting. Its nice to see the vert community

My understanding is that the original radio in the vert used both antennas..it would switch to whichever had the strongest signal. The one in the windshield is very directional, just use the rear one only for best results. Also, I've bought the power antennas from ebay ($40 or so) with good results, although they are not the quality of the radio shack ones that are no longer made.

Owning a vert is like owning a pickup truck or a good stereo system...you can't do without them for long!

my regular antenna works just fine, picks up everything clear enough. I got the stubby antenna on the rear only.

There is a nice writeup in the audio section that covers this.
