A/C vs too low idle speed

I just had my air conditioning repaired. Problem is, when I stop and the engine goes to idle, it stops running. I know one solution is to ajust the idle speed but that may case too high RPMs for comfort. Is there a sensor in the system that might control this? I thought something like a sensor may have gone bad and caused the problem. If not, I'll have to set the idle up. Any suggestions are welcome.

There's a procedure in the FSM on checking your BAC, bet it's dirty. It's job is to bump up the idle when the engine is under load.
