peteb48,

I converted mine to R134 myself. I removed all the parts and flushed them all out, then I put a vac. on the system with an old compressor from a refrigerator (don't laugh....it worked great). I refilled with R134 and the air was ice cold. THEN.....I had a leak in one of the joints. I replaced the o-ring, put a vac on again and refilled....the air is not nearly as cold as the first time I did it....so I don't know what the problem is. My car also takes the refrigerant very slowly.
