my car has the A/C setup on it right now

the system needs to be fixed cause it has a leak in it so I figured just remove it till I get the money

my question is how do I remove it and how much wieght till it cut out on my car

right now I just have the belt cut on it so it is atleast not putting a drain on my moter

 

When the AC is not on it doesn't put a drain on the motor at all - the pulley is totally free-wheeling.

If you take off all the AC stuff, that's a one way street - you'll probably never put it back on. Also, AC components don't like sitting out in the open where moisture can get inside the lines, compressor, etc. - that's way bad.

Most times you're looking at a leaky O-ring or the like - with that fixed and a charge, you've got ice cold air. I *really* like having working AC - girls appreciate it too .

take off the ac belt for now.

 

There only seems to be a couple people out there (Including myself) that likes to have ac and ps anymore. CJ

 

i like AC... frig... its going to cost me major $$$ to fix it too...

I was contemplating whether or not to ditch it as well. Though I would love to have it I figured it would save me alot of weight. BUT I want to drive during the daylight sometimes so I will end up getting it fixed. Looks like it will cost about $400 or so though

 

yeah I love to have A/C

but to get all the shiz working right I have to find out what is wrong with the A/C then get that fixed

then I also have to move on to the logicon to get that fixed as well
