1.You can remove the turbo with the switching actuator still on it.
2.You can remove the C clip by pushing against the open arms of the C until you can hook it with a small pick (or screw driver).

well, okay. in the manual it says remove the heat shields. i removed the one above the pre cat. and the one covering the top part of the turbo.

the reason i wanted to remove the switching acuator is its blocking me from removing the bottom heatsheild. the squarish one.

after that i should be able to unbolt the turbo, the thing is its harder than a bitch to remove it. whats an easy way to break em loose.

also do i need to remove the o2 sensor? it doesnt look like i have to.

want to finish this crap tonight. thanks

if you a just changing the turbo then you dont have to take that thing off at all. its attached to the manifold. on my car i was able to unbolt the trubo from the manifold, and then ubolt the exhaust and pull the turbo off.

k, sounds good. thats one less thing i have to worry about. i didnt want to have to go under my car again. getting some scars hehe.

i have a question. you the how the switching acuator has the little piping that is connected to the back, and then it goes like up, it got pinched a little bit, and im worried its not going to work. is it just a arm that switches something, or does something travel up throught it?
