buying, want input

hey everyone, i became interested in the gen 2 7's when i spotted one in a local junkyard. its an 86, red coupe, 114,000 mi. and i really wanted to buy it. im 17, and dont really have alot of money, but i do have 2 cars, that i can sell.(a 94 Ford taurus SHO, and a 95 Neon upgraded motor) so i want a gen 2, but the one near me is almost not worth rebuilding. i did put a motor in my neon myself, so i know engines, but dont really want a fixer upper. anyone help me with me situation!?!?!?!?!

thanks, Justin

Post some pictures of it. Sounds like my red 86, lol. Anyway it really depends on how much you can get it for. Being a junkyard car, I'm assuming there is various crap ripped apart and lots of missing stuff. If the body seems to be in good shape (you be the judge of that) and the motor is blown, I'd buy it and drop in another motor.

hey, ya, the body looks mint. my father was the president of a corvair club(if anyone knows what the hell they are u rock) so ive seen rust, and this is a straight car. some of the problems are we got it starting under its own power, but it wouldnt stat running. a tire is blown, faded paint, cracks in dash, and in seat, gas door wont latch shut, clunk when lights go down. ive found some on auto trader, and i wanted to pick up a want-ad today, so ill keep yall posted!! thanks

Rotary ENgines are different then Piston engines, So youll need to do some new learning, Also I wouldnt pull a 7 out of the junkyard enluss it was in very good condition. Try to get a car without electrical problems when you buy too.
