Buying a TII...compression & fuel pump q's

I'm looking at a 91 TII with a Mazda reman with about 10k miles on it. I got a compression test, it came out at 9.8 in the front rotor, 10.0 in the rear rotor with an even pulse across all the apex seals. From what I know, this is really strong, but I just wanted to doublecheck.

Also, I'm looking to upgrade the fuel pump b/c I plan on putting an exhaust on it. It already has a 2.5" dp and a high flow cat. I was looking at the walbro 255, but I heard that they can cause you to run rich at idle. A friend of mine suggested using a fuel pump out of an 03 Cobra. From what I understand, I believe it flows somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-275 lph, but it has a dual pump that leans it out a little at idle. Has anyone used this fuel pump or heard anything about it? I know the Walbro was a popular choice with the mustang crowd, but now some recommend the Cobra pump instead. This is probably flawed logic, but I figured it they were able to use a Walbro, but now use the Cobra pump, that we would be able to as well. Would I be able to use it in my FC?

Sorry for the long post, thanks for all your help.

Matt
