buying springs need suggestions!

so i want to go with the RB lowering springs because i know theyll be quality. But other brands that Im not as familiar drop it a little lower which would be nice. here are the questions i have:

1. i have 215/45/17's how low can i go and still make it over the neighborhood speedbump?

2. how long will my semi-old monro shocks last with springs?

3. it is my DD, but Im also a hard core auto enthusiast which springs will be overkill as far as ride stiffness?

here are couple links to diff springs Ive been checking out:

I have the racing beats and the tanabe 210 GF.

I like the Tanabes better. ( sit noticeably lower than the racing beat ones, even though they are supposedly only 1/4 inch lower than the RBs)

Also you are going to want new shocks, I have the tokico blues shocks and kyb adjustables and I prefer the kybs but not by much, I guess I just like the adjustability of the kybs.

This all seems familiar, have I told you this all before?

The other brands in your second link are all decent quality for a street car.

You will need to measure the height of your particular speedbump because they are not all the same size. Keep in mind that the car will bounce down when the front wheels first clear the bump, and the amount of bouncing will depend on your spring rate, struts, vehicle weight, vehicle speed, tires, etc.

Your current tires only lower the car about 1/32" vs. the stock tires.

That question is impossible to answer accurately. However, they will last a lot longer than they would with worn springs, lol.

That depends on you. Are you aware of the difference between progressive-rate and linear-rate springs?
