Buying RX7, Need advice..! HELP!

Hey guys..
It seems like I'm not gonna get this car. When I mentioned the compression check, he got a bit nervous which inturn got me nervous. He said something about "getting weird numbers, blah blah.. 150, blah blah.. all numbers were equal even though it wasnt being tested with a mazda checker, blah blah.."
I think the last thing I need in my life right now is a blown up engine! Too bad, I really liked RX-7's
