You could get a decent turbo 2 for that much.

offer him a kick in the *** for pricing it so high.

i paid $500 for my car with a perfect body, and a perfect black interior, but it had a blown tranny. id say $2k is good

I got my first GXL for $150. Dented up, but from the original owner. Picked up my sport for $1300. $2k sounds about right.

it totally depends on the location, and your luck. You can't really throw the $150 offer to the seller, just because someone else only paid that much. all cars are different, and the values to buyers are all very subjective. and depend on how much time you want to spend on searching.

just use your O2 senses. you are going wait forever for $150 car.

I said nothing about offering $150, I just stated I got my first rx7 for a complete steal.

Edit: And that was almost 4 years ago, deals like that are far and few between now...Ah the memories...

I know the feeling. I was recently able to pick up an "abandonded" rx7, which so far has only cost me 8 bucks plus the 4 bucks to send out the letter to obtain the title.

Talking

Yeah, 3600 sounds too high.

I got mine for 3k or 3.2 (maybe as much as 3.5) or something but it has a rebuilt engine from Rotary Performance with only 30,000 miles on it, custom paint and 17 inch konig monsoons.

I probably could have paid less if I'd known more about FCs at the time but I still think it was a good deal for my first car.

Cheers,
Cody

It's not that much for a totally clean S5 NA, they seem to command more in the secondhand market. You could probably buy an S4 TII for that price though. S5 TII's are about another 1.5K-2.5K if they're perfectly clean.

Hey, Joey, you gotta tell us whether it's N/A or Turbo, and how the compression is! Those two things make all the difference!

The miles are a bit high, though it's not common to pay that much for an excellent condition S5 NA. Note that most people who have responded have S4's, values of S5's seem to go a little higher.

they go higher because the s5s looks 129894510418410240214012182 x more better than the s4s. however, what noobs dont know is that s4s were engineered better than the s5s even though they have lower hp.

I payed $900 for my first 7, and the body was pretty flawed, but the interior wasn't horrible...but not great. I'd say 2k.

Yeah, N/A is only worth 2k or a little bit over the edge if it's in mint condition. KBB says it's worth 4k, though (Fair condition on 90k miles lol)

True they have lower weight, mechanical OMP, and clutch-type LSD's on certain models, but I'll take the no pulsation damper worries of the S5 over all of that, banjo bolt mod not withstanding. The car is worth however much it is worth to you. If you think it's worth 2000, then offer 2000.

I got mine down in Georgia State back in 2001 for 1400 mint condition(no rust, no dents/dings, and almost spotless).

If the car is in decent condition, I'd offer him $1200. I've got 2 FC's...one was completely clean on the inside and had slightly faded paint and I paid 2k for it with a new engine installed or else I would have felt I overpaid.

I bought a 'vert for $500 that only needed an OMP, ECU, and basic maintenance to get running again. There are good deals out there....this isn't one.
