buying a 90 N/A for 500 buks need help on something

Unhappy buying a 90 N/A for 500 buks need help on something

ok heres the deal some lady's hudsband recently passed away she cant drive stick needs car gone its a 90 na 5spd gxl with 94k miles 2nd ownder he kept it up hardly drove it farther than to the store at most i test drove it clutch seemed to slip up whenever u dumped it at even low rpms after 5 mins of driving that cleared up and it seemed to grab nicely again car seemed ok for being low miles and still a 15yr old car i have on question tho .... while parked if u push the gas to any rpm over 1k it will spudder every few seconds bringin the rpm down 100rpm then back up and keeps doin it at any rpm even around 4k u can hear it sligtly thru the exhaust like a lil quiet pop not a backfire or nything.. im not really sure what that is i used to own a NA i sold mine 2 years ago but im just not really sure what this is i know i can be a number of things but any ideas to help me narrow it down im gonna go buy it tommorow and any help would be apreciated since i dont want to drive it home and have it blow over something stupid i could of fixed before i took off with it any help would be apprevciated as i know it will be hard consderin i dont know to much of wat is wrong with the car but it does seem to run fine while driving sry for any typos on laptop and lack of 2 days of sleep has some affect . thanks

srry about bad typing and grammer 2days with no sleep really gets to u . if anyone cant help me i would really appreciate it or at least know somewat how much i can resale this car for. i want to either sell it and get a turbo or bridge port it and enjoy wats left in the motor .

Where is this car, ill take it so you dont have to worry about it. $500 for a S5, california car with a great body, that is a steal!


You can always fix the engine or tranny, for that price, pick it up for the good shape the body is in.

just curious as to what nyone would think it could be im very very strapped for cash right now and im actualy borrowing the money from a friend to get this because i know it wont wait for me i wont have any extra cash for another 2 months so jusst curious if it seems like a seal may be out or anything.. but for now ... its mine also does anyone know what the price is of a s5 turbo ? i havent really ever seen one mostly juss converted a/s with s4 motors

It's a steal if i ever saw one. no rust? clean body? decent interior? a RUNNING engine? TAKE IT!!!!!!! NOW!!!!

That's how i got my car. But some idiot hit it and now it has a dent in the rear quarter panel and the door.

yep..sounds good..all you get in canada is rust!!..throw a tune-up on that Puppy and you could be drivin in a good car..may want to clean the internals (steam method) since the car was a grocery getter..Good Find! ..You made us proud!!..LOL!

a tune-up is in order and maybe look to have the injectors cleaned, since it was babied, maybe the secondaries aren't use to firing

didnt littteraly dump the clutch i had to start on a hill and the damn thing keept slipping nyway i bought the car runs great except for a check engine lightgoin off around 3k then fadding away so ima check the codes later . does anyone still have a link to that web site with all the codes and info on the fc's? body is pretty damn str8 the guy bought it in 97 with 79k miles and its at like 94k now so im hoping it isnt to bad inside that engine . Where is a good place to send the injectors to be cleaned . I dont want to run any additives thru the gas

ya well sum peopel arent used to goin 3days straight sleep on and off and i was on a lap top , so i was past the point of really caring to much about it as much as i was trying to make sense.
