Buying a 10th Aniversary

I am looking at buying a 10th aniversary with 75,000 miles. The car is box stock and is in near mint condition. The car has always been will cared for and babied. What kinds of things should I be looking for on this car? Any potentional problems? Any advice?

Congrats, that's a very sweet Turbo II and collectible

THe usual - get the engine compression tested and spend 3 hours looking it over in detail.

If it's in emmaculent / excellent shape - you found a great car.

(No, the 1.3's not there normally)

10th AE's are the best of the Series 4 RX-7's.

Indeed, they are ....

As you approach 100k, you'll be looking into getting a rebuild..

a bit of advise; buy it then sell it to me. I love that model, well at least I got a TII. Congrats. Good luck with her. Yeah the rebuild is prob. nearing, but that gives you the chance to port it and do some other mods. If it is stock and well taken car of it should last a while.

Hmmm... doesn't the 10th AE TII fall in the 86-88 range - so the rebuild would be around 140-160K?

My 10AE runs good at 147k. I am about to buy a j spec motor and rebuild it with a street port so that it will be ready when the engine goes to rotary heaven.
