im about to buy an fc its an 88 just wanna kno what i should chek for and common problems n such... n i was just wondering whats the safest rpm u can rev a stock fc upto... also whats the highest u've seen an rx reved to... a freind of mine doesnt believe they can rev high

Look in the FAQ for common problems, use the almighty search feature if it's not in the FAQ.
Safest you can rev the engine up to is, of course, the redline, which for an '88 is 7000 rpm. The highest I've seen an RX reved up to was 9000 rpm in my dad's RX-8.

seriously they can rev to the redline and beyond but there is NO point in reving it past the redline if the car is stock or near stock, the turbos and n/a's both stop making power past 6500rpms in a s4 rx7. reving the car that high is not at all bad for it but it wont take well to continued abuse, so dont destroy your car like a typical high schoolers do.
