Busted Hot hose from intake and go's to block!

First of all this was a hard leak to detect because of how hard it is to see in that area.. If anyone knows what hose im talking about. Do i need to take the upper intake off to get to it? Or is there a trick? Anyone? This is a hot hose that Leaves the Upper intake and heads Right down to the block.. TY

What the hell is a "hot hose"? Are you talking about a coolant hose? Possibly the one that runs from the thermowax on the TB to the rear iron? If that's the one, it's almost impossible to change without taking the UIM off.

at least take the bolts off and lift up a bit to give you a better angle on it

I did the impossible... I rePlaced the damn hose without takin the UIM offf.. DAMN IM GOOD...

The Trick is pull the hose off slowly.. the old type Pinch hose clamp will work up.. Replace it with a small Screw clamp and use a SMall socket screw driver to tighten it... IT was tight as hell But got it done.. Only took 2 hours.. Its a must to take the hood off too...

Given that it only takes about 20 minutes to remove the intake manifold- after which, that hose is fully exposed- I'm not sure a "DAMN, I'M GOOD" is called for.

"DAMN, I'M PERSISTENT", maybe.

I know. But it was less work really Not having to undo everything. Besides more **** i move around the more likely something else will need to be replaced

you took the hood off just to replace that hose? If you really are sweating taking that UIM off to that degree, it probably needs to be taken off because nobody's looked at anything under there in a long time.

I had it off last year to replace the Fuel hose that went bad. And i also had it off since then to get to the secondary injectors... So I KNOW how to take it off.. The point was to fix the thermowax hose without taking it off agian. And i did. That was the point. ty end of story

I think I'd much rather take the UIM off, than the hood. Last time I took the hood off, it took 3 people and lots of swearing to get the brackets and bolts lined back up properly. Those plastic spacers behind the holes always fall out of place.
