BURNing on Leading igniter.

after driving one night, i notice my engine sounded weird. when i pop the hood, i noticed that i leading spark plug wire is pop of out of the leading igniter( or leading fire distributor if you preferred). My spark lug wire also seen to have been burned. i also see scare carbon built up on the site of the burning. This site is on the leading igniter that suppose to be connect to the spark plug wires. This cant be normal? rite? can someone explain?

Well.. The spark has to go somewhere! If the plug or whatever fell off, then the spark is going to find the next path of least resistance.
