bump start

I was just wondering if bump starting your 7 frequently would cause any damage....as I have hot start issues and im always looking for a hill to park on wherever I go.

its not going to harm anything. Back in 2006-7 when my fc battery would be dead many times because I was too poor to buy another battery :P, when I am in the school parking lot I would push the car by myself and hop right in put in 1st and drop the clutch and it will start up.

Its the same thing as using an electric motor (starter) to start the car, just that you get more excercise and if you do it wrong.....it can go horribly wrong which I have seen lol.
Just last week, I saw a guy doing the same thing to his car on the side of a boulevard street.

I remember being young and broke. My buddy had a celica with a bad starter. Pop starting it in the snow sucked.

I used to bump start my ninja all the time because I was too lazy to buy a new battery. Did it for a year. Bike is still 100%.

My guess would be no. I found out that it can make a difficult rx7 to re-start hot due to low compression, start on a dime. Car will turn over faster than the starter alone.

I'm kinda still sketched out bump starting my car...as my starter won't shut off now I had to disconnect the battery to turn my car off. Could this be of a misconnected wire possibly? I dropped my transmission last week for the first time and reconnected the ground on the transmission(it wasn't connected in the first place) and I think I may have put the oil pump resistor wire on wrong possibly....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
