what brought me to rebuild mine. Is that when i removed all my emisions i forgot to ziptie the harness that goes to cold start thing on top of the uim. Well it fell down and melted on my turbo heatshield. This happened at night while watch Steve from Gotham racing race two guys with some SS Camaros with NOS and all that good stuff. Well anyways my EGI fuse blew and I hardwired it just to get home. Well the next morning my car would start then die. again and again. sometimes it would run normal for a few minutes then die. So i figured that I have a short somewhere. Maybe the wire melted. My fear is that maybe the computer may has been damaged. So im going to rebuild the harness first. If you have any ideas or thought please let me know!

Get the correct Factory diagram for your car
Labal everything
use temp. zip ties ti maintain your branch loccations.
"ring" each wire out to find the bad ones.

Good luck in trying to solder a ol mazda harness its a pain!

Use a high quality Silicone wrap on the fixed harness
Reroute in Convuluted tubing

You mean the water thermo sensor sender? it's bunched in with the primary injectors?

How easy is it to make a complete harness?? Or maybe i should ask how hard. If so how would you go about doing it? j/w it seems a little cheaper and a lot more work to do this than just buy a new one(can you?)..

Splicing the new wires into the old connector is the "trick". The OEM wire is coated with some substance that defies solder, no matter how you clean it

Well i called mazda and the passanger side harness is discontinued(they wanted $500 for one when they did have them, Ive spent about $40 so far. I install alarms for a living. Its not to hard but just time consuming. Im not wireing up any of the emissions so that should clean up the engine bay from extra plugs. Well im about finished, HOPE IT WORKS.

It tells your ECU what the water temperature is so it can adjust the ammount of fuel going in to suit.
