lol, nice looking FD.
i dont think its all that impossible of a mission
i knew someone w/ a t70 450rwhp@15psi on pump gas daily driver in phoenix, az who had AC and power steering in his t2.

he had the big 3 core greddy IC too.
he had some cooling issues, but did fairly well most of the time, remember this is phx where its over 100 degrees for weeks at a time and gets up to 118
There are high powered RX-7s w/ AC, its just very easy to justify dumping it, epecially when it doesnt work in the first place!
I plan on dumping power steering and keeping AC mainly for the ease of changing out spark plugs. My goals are only 300-350rwhp depending on boost.

The 450rwhp t70 t2 w/ ac ran stock clutch fan (but ran it on 100% of the time). I also intend to run stock clutch fan, but working as if stock, no rigging.

I'm sure there are a few FD guys running big power and AC too, probably moreso than FC.

So basically, my only advice is stick w/ stock clutch fan and fan shroud
I'm running a normal koyo, but koyo has their new double pass or whatever out too.

Good luck!

-Ben Martin

You know, you can have A/C and big power... It just costs more.

There was an episode of American Hot Rod where a guy had them build a 1400 hp twin turbo 60's 'vette with PS and A/C... It can be done.

Personally, I'm keeping my A/C and PS, and I'm going with a T-04 and all that... You just have to be willing to make some trade offs. I'm also going to go with a more conservative tune... Maybe my motor could go 400+ hp, but honestly, I'll trade some power for some drivability and reliability.

LOL..

AUDI COVER was FREE..BRAND NEW...An it covers my car completely down to the tires......
I know there is other FC out there with A/C an big power...
Don't need alot of boost now a days to make big power..
Just need a nice size turbo...most turbo on the market can make 400hp @ 15psi...
Thanx guyz for all your input....will take picture as i progress in my dilema....

I know cars that can put down over 1000 HP and still have AC.

I say, GO FOR IT! I kind of like the idea!

I put a 13b-re in my car and kept both A/C and PS. I just recently diched the PS, but the A/C is staying, there is no detrement with having it. Turn it on and the water temps go up 15 deg, big deal. I have a 24 x12 x 3 FMIC, and although I am only make in the 260-300 range for whp, because of the stock re turbos, there is still no reason to keep AC

Nice find bro. Glad you are opting for AC, but I gotta say (from driving both) ditch the power steering. The manual racks turn pretty easily. You may be suprised.

Here's a pic of my engine bay with AC. Stock turbo for now, but it fits nicely.

Good looking project. Have fun.

Actually your right, my first time testing a manual steering mechanism was in a ford back draft, here in New York at the classic car CLUB!! Yep yep.. It turned pretty easy (at stand still), me and that car got along pretty well .. How much do they go for??
