Build a digital compression gauge
How hard would it be to build a gauge that reads the three chambers of the 13b.
You just need a hose that threads into the housing. A circuit/device that reads pressure and a code that reads and records the highest pressure 3 times and displays it on a lcd. should cost no more than 75-100 dollars.

It's pretty easy, you'd also want to log cranking speed, and isolate each chamber (not too hard, each chamber is 1 revolution apart). However, if you know nothing of EE or programming any chips, you'll be in trouble!
