bucking like a rodeo !!!!!
bucking like a rodeo !!!!!
Hey this is the situation... the car is bucking when it's coming onto a stronger load. i.e accelerating. Once it starts accelerating then it's ok... it doesn't matter what gear.. RPM... or boost level. it's not the TPS... RP's checked that, and it's not fuel cut... I have a G-Force that eliminates that. From a dead stop the car wants to die and it's a pain to get the RPM's up. It does it more when it's cold and has been steadily getting worse as the temp has been getting colder. MY guess is that it's the BOOST SENSOR since the stock gauge won't read 0 with the ignition switch in the on position. it doesn't move at all. Any body know how to check that damn thing. It's EXPENSIVE and i don't want to replace it unless i know that it's the problem... ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS !!!!
I had bucking problems with my TII and found out it was a VACUUM leak. Specifically it was a leak coming from my BLOWOFF valve after I put on one of those HOME DEPOT dump valves on it! I would check everything and make sure you don't got no vacuum leaks first.
HHHmmmm i have a greddy blow off valve and i guess it would make sense. it's got fresh silicon vacuum hose, but maybe something is loose...... BREAK OUT THE ZIP TIES.....
To check the boost sensor, meter the Brown/Red stripe wire at the plug to ground. With the engine off and the ignition turned on (0 psi boost), it should read 2.25 volt. It should read about 1.0 volt at idle, and it should increase linearly from 2.25 volt at 0 psi to 4.00 volt at 10psi boost. Hope this helps.

Besides vac leak, I would looking into a ground strap for the motor and battery. Aside from that, maybe the plugs and wires and fuel injectors. I guess it doesn't hurt to drop in some Techron or Redline S1 FI cleaner.
