broken sunroof?

Just wondering how many of you have a broken sunroof.

The one on my TII just stopped sliding back. It goes up, but won't go back anymore. The gears are sill going, but I'm not sure if it stripped off or something.

Is it fixable?

Silicone spray lube:
Spray the tracks good, to flush out the crud.
Work it in.
Repeat.

Wipe some around the outer trim rubber.

Kinda like the engine, it works better if used often.

Mine works, it goes up stops. The i have to take my hand of the button and hit it again for it to move. I took it apart and cleaned the sliders. Runs nice

Silicone spray lube. Home Depot, Wal Mart, etc. have it.

BTW Drifter101: It is supposed to open in two stages like that.

Yea mine has this issue where it wants to kinda shift at a slight angle and jam. So I wind up having to use my hand to keep it from shifting for it to open or close completly

ill try wd40 cuz i have some lying around... i'm just worried that it stripped the gears to move it backwards because once it moves to the up position, it won't go back at all but you hear em moving like it should. my old car had broken tracks and they were like $300 to replace that problem
