Broken drivers seat mounting hole

While taking out my broken drivers seat, I found that the right rear bolt was totally stripped.

Since the seat is garbage anyway, I figured i could bend the bracket on the seat until it got weak and broke off,
but it tore the mounting hole out of the floor of the car instead.

now i have a quarter sized hole in the floor, and need a way of securing that corner of my seat.

Any ideas?

(yes i know this situation makes me look dumb)

thanks, -Matt

weld a big nut to the floor of the car that has the same size threads as the other 3 bolts that hold the seat in. shouldnt be too difficult if you can weld.

Take it to panel shop and have them patch the hole (~2"sq plate), drill a hole in the plate and weld a nut over the hole.

Been there, done that.

Actually, my bolt head stripped off because of the awkward position you have to be in to get to it, and it was rusted securely in the hole. So I ended up grinding the head off of the bolt. I went to drill and tap a new hole, but the tap broke off in the whole. So I ended up just cutting out that section of the bracket, welding a nut to a piece of 3MM steel, then welding it in place. After some grinding and primer, you can't ever tell it was repaired.
