Broke Off Power Bolt for Fuel Pump....Options?

So while i was reinstalling my walbro and stupid me...i screwed the nut on too tight and broke off the entire bolt that the power wire hooks up to on the assembly. now i was just thinking about soldering the ring terminal to where it is suppose to be tightened to but i dont know if this is a good idea since its going to be soaked in gas all day. any better ideas than that? should i just drill a hole through the plate and solder to make the power line longer and just hook up to the harness for the resister and relay while i do the fuel pump rewire?

You mean the stud on the fuel pump?
Get a new fuel pump.

If it is a stud use an extractor and get it out and replace it with a new stud or even a bolt.

If it doesn't come out solder a wire onto the remains.

Good Luck.

i think a pic would explain this better, i probably wasnt clear enough. I was thinking about jb welding it since its so small (the nut is a 7mm), would that still be conducive for the main power wire of the pump? hope this clears it up, my garage just smells like fuel while the pump is off.

It's pretty common and there was an extremely well written DIY posted here about how to put new threads in (with lots of pictures too).

Oh, you snapped it on the bracket side!
I would just get a used bracket.
Those things are typically not a high demand item, and those people parting cars should give it to you for a reasonable price.
If you want to try and fix it, you need an electrical bulkhead stud.

JBWELD? No.

How about soldering it? Yes. Solder the wire and it's terminal on the broken stud.
