Bringing my 7 back to life.
Wow.
Sunday was work on the car day, boy did I find out some crazy stuff about my car. First off I went out, got a new air filter, and fuel filter, as well as some valve stem caps (old ones were stolen).
So, first things first, get the easy stuff outta the way, I pull off the panel for the filter and to my suprise (gasp) No filter there. I think at this point I actually became incontinent and **** myself. So I'm thinking to myself, I've driven my car 4k miles since I bought it. And somebody drove it before me, what the hell... it could have destroyed the engine....
Ok so that's "replaced".
Fuel filter. 4 hours. Covered in gasoline. And I somehow managed to put it on backwards twice.
But honestly, these two upgrades have yeilded the most power gains that I have felt. And so far I've replaced the catalyitic converter with a bonez race pipe. And also the brake pads and SS brake lines, not that those ADD power to the car or anything
Overall, bringing the car back to stock power before starting performance modifications is a really good idea. And I'm glad that this was pointed out to me.
Lastly, Who thinks I should call the guy that sold me the car and bitch at him?

I am sure that running without a filter was no different than running with a dirty HKS/foam filter
