Exclamation bringing a 7 back to life

well hi there from the other side of the pond ,

i finally got my rx7 after a few months of slavery and a lot of lurking around the forum i'm ready to begin with my seven at the moment i don't have many pics but that will change just for a little taste

it was like this when i found it , the old owner has another one hidden away in the shed , lol and two more engines (i guess i'll be relieving him of a few parts when he's not looking )

it has been sitting there for about 3 years and know its at a friends shop so that i can start with the restoration process , where do you recommend that i start ? i was thinking of a engine clean up , do a compression test and if it was ok full fluid change and filter maybe some hoses and such and try to crank it up what do you think ? ....
and there is something that is really scaring me is that the key starter is next to the e-brake so someone has already been tinkering with the electrical system

then defiantly go for the engine first. You can worry later about making it pretty. I would much rather have a smooth running car than just a good looking one
