Bridgeport vs. streetport

So, I plan on using my car for a daily driver. Bridgeport or Streetport?

what is the difference? I have seen lots of photos, but I must be missing something....

Any info would be great. Thanks.

Streetport. A bridgeport will need a LOUD *** exhaust to get near its potential, a street port can still be quiet and somewhat fast. The best possible option for power and streetability is forced induction.

A mild streetport would be best. Dont make it huge, focus more on cleaning everything up. Bigger does not equal better. Someone on here made ~180 hp on stock ports. That tells you the ports are not the problem, a much bigger restriction is the afm. And for the exhaust, that depends on what system you are running. Dual apexis are loud but does that mean they make alot of power? no. A full racing beat set up would out perform it without killing your hearing.

Then again I could be spewing crap so take it as you will.

To answer the question, for a DD streetport > bridgeport

The AFM is not a restriction at around ~180hp.

I was just trying to say that making the ports huge does not mean you will get a ton of power.

Your only as strong as your weakest part. What I was saying is you would be better off eliminating all the little restrictions than just making the ports huge

What kind of bridgeport? All depends, and streetability is relative. If you go for a bridge on just the aux ports and keep the sleeves/actuators functional idle will still be normal, low to mid rpm driving will still be normal, and when you want to go WOT and to redline it'll be there waiting for you. Just do normal porting to the secondary/primary ports and bridge the aux, its a nice compromise.

^That's how I plan on doing mine when I need my engine rebuilt. I dont know why I don't see more of them, you really can't go wrong with a 1/3 bridgeport on the aux ports.

Im probably looking to do the same bridge on the aux's over the winter. I finally picked up a new car today so I can afford to give my 7 a new life.
