I could build a piston engine if I wanted, but never had the desire to unless it is a Toyota Supra. I'm satisfied with my rotary, and plan on showing some domestic V8s how we true Rx7 lovers do it. So anytime you want a showdown come on down to Kingsport, TN. I'll meet you at Thunder Valley.

Boy, you got *****...
First you trashing the RX-7 Store and Jason, then you mouth off in here.&nbsp Anyone wanna take bets how long before he gets banned?

How old are you anyways?&nbsp Do you have a mechanical engineering degree to qualify your "not meant to" statements?&nbsp How many rotary engines have you built and tuning?&nbsp "It takes real skill and intelligence to tune and build rotaries" - does that include you too?

I see I have stirred up a hornets nest on this issue..I just wanted to know which one would yeild better results..I have never built a rotary engine..The same goes for the V-8..But I'll be damned if I am gonna pay someone to build either one of them when I have access to Shop Manuals and wiring diagrams...I have the tools needed to do either of these tasks..I love my rotary...It uses some oil..But it is different than piston driven engines..It is different that is what I like..I am on a very tight budget..Very Tight..Being a Firefighter in my town doesn't pay very well...But I make due...I have a V-8 I could rebuild with Higher compression pistons..Swap some Vortec heads on, cam it all that stuff..I have an ignition I could use...If I did the V-8 swap..Alot of things will have to be fabbed..For example..Radiator will have to be scrapped an moved..Have to buy a Griffen radiator in place of the stock one..The swap from Grannys will cost upwards of $500 dollars for the basic kit and driveshaft...I am sure that I could build one hell of a V-8 monster, but i want to keep the rotary power plant alive..Man this is a hard decision to make..I tell you guys what someone post a place where I can get a fairly inexpensive rebuild kit for my rotary, post a price on about how much it would cost to get my Rotary Ported and then I will decide..Man it is a hard decision...Well I have 90 days to decide...Right now I am not sure where to get the rebuild kit from so I need to start there...Someone help me out...Well thanks for the posts..Keep em coming...

Neither was the 3rd gen F-body. It was meant for a 4 cylinder and a V6 only.
