From: Vriginia,
Its been a real long time since I've posted but thanks to good blessings I now have a stable income and with that opportunity has put me in position to start building again. Now for the run down I'm looking to purchase some Bride seats

Thanks for helping everyone

Questions

1) anyone running these that can comment on comfort?

2) what rails should I invest in to get proper fitment?

1. you should sit in a seat before you buy. this worked better before the internet, as we had these things called stores where you could do this. the Bride seats are made in Japan, for Japanese people, so its better if you're skinny

2. buy the bride rails and call it done

I'm running the Vios III Low Max in my FD, and it fits like a glove.. should be no issue fitting it in the FC. It's also very snug and comfortable. I can go on 3-4hours rides without any back pain.. as opposed to the stock seat that caused me a bit in the lower back. I tried many other seats before this one (Status, Sparco, Recaro & other Brides) and this one is by far the best. I weight 165lbs and I am 5'11'', just to give you an idea. As for the rail, the Bride Type-LF Seat Rail is the one you need;

Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: BRIDE Type-LF Seat Rail (Full Bucket, Low Max System)

Got mine off RHDJAPAN.COM for a better price in about a week & a half.

Hope this helps you :P

I know you are looking for a Bride seat, but since you are in VA. Check OG racing, they have a good selection of Sparco and Recaro in their showroom.

I second the recaro and sparco seats. Getting your measurement for the seat is extremely easy too. It takes two bricks and a tape measure

Just an FYI, I run the Bride rails with sliders and they sit WAY too high. I'm only 6'0" and barely clear the roof. You will not fit in the car with a helmet if you are reasonably tall with these rails.

Thanks for info I'm 5'9 though no worries but if such an issue arises then I may just have to modify the rails a litttle

You can bolt-in the seat to the preferred height. My setting is at the lowest position (I love it this way), but at the highest position, I still had a good amount of clearance.

I have the Bride Vios III Japan (non R) in my FD.

Bride offers Low Max rails for the FD, so the seating position is quite low *and* centered to the steering wheel (part of the Low Max concept).

Bride does not offer Low Max rails for the FC, so the seating position will be higher.

Low Max is likely not offered for the FC as on JDM Right Hand Drive cars the seating position for the driver could not be lowered and centered to the steering wheel because of the angled shape of the unibody floor there for the exhaust.

For us Left Hand Drive FC owners we can get the driver's seat all the way down (adapting stock or aftermarket rails) as the unibody floor is flat on the Left.

I am 5' 8" and pudgy and I find the Vios III comfortable and supportive even on road trips. My friend has an older Bride seat and it is a tight fit for me!

- Thanks for extra info this what I needed I'll be trying all if the settings when the Times comes.

BLUE
-So it sounds like I shouldn't have to much problem mounting the driver seat but I'm going to run into some issues for the passenger seat. I can deal with that thanks for the insight and feedback as well

I just replaced my crappy seats with some other..Crappy seats..lol
I have the Bride rail seat mounts.

In the old setup I had to cut a section off the tabs to get the mount to sit lower to the floor. They built the tabs to "step up " the whole mount.
I cut that off and flush mounted it to the mount so it now sits one inch lower..almost flush with the floor.
