brand new engine not starting

so i have this freshly rebuilt engine from www.rotarywarehouse.com
and i get everything in and i cant get it to start at all. it just keeps flooding. i tripple checked all of the vacuum lines and wires. i am getting spark. i noticed white lithium grease on the inside to peserve the engine during transport. i tried dumping all the fuel out by disconnecting the crank sensor and turning it over a few times. im pretty sure i have the crank angle sensor ligned up properly... on the yellow line. so any advice or tips or ideas would be apreciated.
this is a 13B n/a

you getting spark at all? using used spark plugs? try pinching the fuel feed line to lean it out, that usually gets them going for initial start for me.

I have always had to crash start an engine first time after rebuild. Never been able to get one started by cranking alone. Try that.

There is a hook right under the front drivers side facia. Just get him to pull you a short distance till it gets enough RPM to start the engine. Then stop. Endo problemo. Unless you're like me and the car won't idle after that.

Yeh tow starting is always an option, but I prefer to just get a bunch (maybe 3 more) of guys and get them to push.
Have the car in second gear, make sure the key is on, get them to push up to a reasonable speed (you will get he picture when you do it) and release the clutch. give it a bit of gas just like when you are starting the car by cranking it.
All going to plan after the engine turns over a few time it should blast into life.
I don't know why this works but for some reason it does. Let it run for like 5 minutes and you should now be able to start it by cranking it every time.
The Lithium grease shouldn't be a problem, will just cause it to smoke a bit for a minute or so. Everytime I have rebuilt an engine I have used crap loads, its always good to have lube in there while you are cranking it dry in the beginning.
Good Luck

if it won't start by leaning out the fuel system then you have a problem somewhere.

the lithium they use is a wierd style they have but i have got one of their engines running with no problem before, though the crap they use smells like *** when it is burning off.

hey man make sure you put your CRANK ANGLE SENSOR in correctly. i put mine in wrong and the first time and the timing was like way off, i pulled it out and followed the manufacturers directions on how to line the gear up at the bottem of the sensor and install it after the rebuild. fired right up after it was in right. hope that helps.

I don't have that problem, but still no starting for me. I guess I'll pull everything off the shortblock and put it back on....for the third time. Maybe I'll do something different (read: right) this time.
