Which brand AN fittings are the best??

I recently did the paralel fuel rail mod and I used all sorts of fittings. Now I dont know which one is leaking, I do smell gasolene.

I dont really like the 3 piece swivel design of Earl's fittings. Aeromotive and Fragola fittings are of the same design like Earl's, but the center piece does not come out (which is where I have some reason to believe Earl's fittings leak). Russell's fittings are completely different design. I think the design of these screw on type fittings are a good idea. Seems like the hose may have more bite that the other brand fittings.

So which does everyone like more??

Also are you supposed to use oil when assembling these fittings to the hoses??

I have come to the conclusion that Russles fittings are THE BEST for fuel application, and probably any other application for that matter.

They are much easier to put together than the rest. The collet has reverse threads to force the hose forward while screwing it together. You dont have to play with the center hoose piece.

Best of all I no longer smell fuel. I still have the old -6 AN fittings if anyone wants about 8 assorted brands and angles. (Earls, Aeromotive, Fragola).

Buy Russlles from Summitracing.com

Don't know if cost is a concern for you, if it is, do some searching on used Nascar/Winston Cup/ stockcar parts. There is a company that sells the slightly used parts from the race teams. Lots of AN stuff. And used Nascar connecting rods, pistons, blocks, heads, etc. (Obviously that stuff is of no interest to anyone on this forum , but it's neat to see what you can get for a cheap price)

Theres a nascar parts shop up near me. Its kinda gay though.

I have also heard of purchasing used race tires. I have talked with people who had good results.
