Exclamation Brakes: 'Pffffft' sound

OK, so when I step on the brake I get this 'pffffffft' like sound. Sounds almost like an air leak coming from down near the brake assembly....my guess is that some sort of seal is fugdup at the point where the brake pushrod enters the back of the booster. Brakes work great though...I can lock em up or just slow down just like normal. The pedal feels a little soft, but not mushy. Also stepping on brake has no effect on idle speed, so that's good. What think you? Need a new booster or master cylinder?

I think this is normal. Happens on my TII after warming up and backing down an incline.

So long as the pedal doesn't sink to the floor and requires pumping to stop.

Try a brake tuneup, simple and might solve your problem, make sure you have good pads and rotors, and bleed em. Brakes are a pretty simple system.

right. the actual brakes are GREAT, as I said before, but this strange sound comes from the area where teh pushrod enters teh booster. I'll check the booster, that mustbe the problem.
