You experienced brake fade, any brakes that are really hot will do that.

your lucky you didnt lock the rear brakes and spin, which has happened to me a few times but never in a risky traffic manuver. after a few close calls like that you will discover how stupid street racing really is. dont misunderstand me, i do it when i feel the need but i know how dangerous it can be and people just dont think when the pull out into streets, its the other drivers that cause the danger in most cases, but they are not breaking the law, you are so get it on a track and be careful.

wtf were you racing where there were other cars. I hope the back tires lock up and you spin out in the middle of the freeway making you look like a HUGE ******* ***.

Ok... I don't really hope that, but GROW THE **** UP. Take it out in the middle of nowhere where there is nobody else to rear end ******. That could have been me, my wife, my daughter, or your ******* little sister. GROW UP.

EDIT: and the fact you had to ask about brake fading just tells us that you're not competent and knowledgable to be racing anyhow.

(and yeah, I'm a ******* *** when it comes to street racers)

he said the road was empty kenteth...

when he said "this jurk pulls out in front of me" i think he meant the guy he was racing.
at least I HOPE he meant the guy he was racing. Otherwise, what kenteth said +1

I agree with Kenteth

Dude, get the NFS: Underground game and race there. like they say in the intro video it's not worth doing on the street, and even though it was a little lame, it was put there for a reason. street racers--no matter where they are, can be dangerous. They make tracks for a reason.

Ditto, I used to toy around on the street, but it's not worth racing in an uncontrolled environment and killing yourself, someone else, or causing property damage. FYI, most people I know besides myself dont carry enough insurance for a catastrophic accident, and would be screwed if they caused enough damage in an accident.

No.... It's not THEIR problem. It's OUR problem, because regular people who are driving around have to put up with dipshits rear-ending them, side-swiping, or clear broadsiding them at high speeds because they were too busy looking at their 6 inch shift light instead of paying attention to the road. That makes it OUR problem.

i understand your point of view sonic rat i do but i mean speaking the truth you think by screaming at someone and telling them that street racing is bad is going to make them stop?? look how many times you see in the kills section o well i was on blah blah st and a civic comes and i took him.... you automatically know he was oviously street racing remember telling someone that there stupid and moronic for doign it is just going to make them wanna do it... dont get me wrong i street race also but again i have my boundaries theres only so far you can go and all the times ive raced i make 100% that theres no cars except me and him..

babam. case and point. street racing isn't worth it. don't be a douche bag. race on a track where you can't hurt other people.

alternative to racing on streets that is still exciting**** go to an abandoned or close at 5 warehouse/industrial section that you know to have no one there i have seen people get hurt at a track b/c track set up poorly $.02 i do agree that until you learn more about your car that you need to keep it in a more controlled environment and don't look at this as though everyone is against you, take it to the next level and learn more!

You should have left it in gear, the high RPMs plus closed throttle means lots of engine vacuum to run the power brake booster. That's my guess to what happened...

As for the street racing, you sir are a jackass. Take it to the track, it's not that expensive. If you can't afford track time maybe you should pick a new hobby.

You said someone jumped in front of you and you had to get on the brakes. If that happened, then in no way was the location you were racing in a safe place to do so.

WTF dude.. I don't hate you, you just need to take it to the track and not come here expecting us to be like "you went street racing, ohhh wow, you're so cool."

If you want that, goto your local highschool buddies.

Most of us here are past the maturity of 16 and know the consequences of street racing, and hence don't subscribe to the stupidtiy involved with it. It doesn't mean we hate you. And I hope you are using hate in a pretty liberal way, or I must say you are completely niave about the world.

BTW: sorry to hear about your grandfather.

And being a noob, you don't know this yet. Whenever you post something in a thread that starts a fight, make a new thread that avoids the controversial issue. Never expect a thread to get saved without half naked pictures of women to alieve conflict.

Oh, and I think we already told you that your brake pads probably just glazed over?

he brake-checked you. why? b/c he's an ***.

that's why you don't race retards on the street. sure, it was an abandoned area with no cars and no crowds and yet; u said it yourself; you almost died. why? b/c you were racing some anonymous fucktard in an uncontrolled environment.

The whole point (before I close this thread) is that it is not some dumb Civic owner's fault your brakes (not breaks) didn't work.

And it is not the fault of street racing (which is illegal in most states).

And it is not the fault of some dead grand father (which makes me what to say, "wheel the old boy in and prove it", but I won't)

IT IS ONLY RXspoofs FAULT, for not maintaining his brakes (not breaks) properly. And the fact that he was even driving on a public road with brakes that need work, well hell he should have his car taken away until it is fixed.

Now you know why some states have mandatory inspections. I wish more do.
